There is such magic in color mixing! Let’s explore the color GREEN
In this exploration of secondary colors we will focus on ORANGE.
By observing yellow and red water color mix together we found orange!
This is great practice for children to strengthen their hands and develop fine motor control.
When a child observes nature they will see much more than we see. Every lizard, every bug, they will want to smell all the flowers and feel all the textures because it is still new to them.
Never throw away your card board boxes, they are the perfect canvasses for your little ones.
Building sugar castles are a great way to encourage concentration, fine motor, and perseverance skills.
Every time I work with clay it seems to have a calming effect on me, which is also so true for young children.
For this lesson I decided to combine two concepts, color mixing and reflection. We started off by talking about the primary colors red, yellow and blue as our magic colors that can transform to create all colors of the rainbow when mixed right.
This lesson I wanted to focus on fine motor skills and task resilience.
We not only had fun making spiders but also got our hands on a wide range of materials.
Our sunny days lately have made for some beautiful mornings in the Glenn.
