PROGRAMS & CURRICULUM
At Carmel Mountain Preschool we allow a few select high-quality outside companies to offer extra-curricular enrichment classes to our students. These classes are offered either from 12:30-1:10 (during the beginning of nap) or from 3:30-4:15pm. If your child attends Carmel Mountain Preschool half day, then you would pick them directly after class instead of 12:00. Classes are offered on different days. Please contact the instructor directly for pricing and to register.
Hip Hop Dance Class
Claire Cafri is so excited to bring her Hip Hop dance program to Carmel Mountain Preschool. Claire is a qualified full time dance instructor and has been teaching this program at various preschools for several years now. This is a great dance program for both boys and girls. All the music is age appropriate pop songs with a mix of creative songs that help form this fun program. Every few months we invite the parents to come watch our hip hop performance where we show you some of our best moves in a fun new dance.
Kids yoga is a fun class that explores the world through yoga. This is a fun upbeat class that infuses dancing, props and movement using yoga as it’s inspiration. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improve. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.
The P.E.R.K. Club is a physical education program, designed for children ages 3-12. Through positive reinforcement, and learning through play, the goal of this club is to encourage physical fitness habits which will last them a lifetime. The Physical Education and Recreation for Kids Club encourages originality and self-expression. Participation in different skills, exercises, games and dance, will help your child become more self-confident. The children learn to follow directions, and they are proud of their physical abilities. Our lessons are designed to promote high success rates, and they are age appropriate. Each lesson includes a Cardiovascular game, a Skill Theme such as throwing or catching, and a Loco-motor or group activity. Your child will receive a 40 minute lesson, four times per month. We will provide all equipment, and the lessons will be taught at your child’s school. Different activities are taught each week. Please have your child wear safe footwear on P.E.R.K. day. Fun Time Sports
Fun Time Sports is a program designed for children 3 to 5 years old. Our goal is for children to experience the enjoyment of physical activity. Our program uses physical activities to promote self-confidence, sharing with others, and teamwork through a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment. Fun Time Sports features all sports: soccer, basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, paddle ball, bowling, and golf. We design 2 weeks for a sport and then move on to the next so we can focus on skill development and knowledge of the game while most importantly having fun!

This energetic and expressive class will have your little movers learning basic ballet and coordination, musicality, and rhythm to reach class goals in a fun creative ways. This program will have a performance every couple of months so the dancers can show mom and dad how they progress and learn to love dance.
