Our Young Toddler Program is for children 12-17 months old. This class supports your child’s eagerness for learning in a fun, creative, engaging environment. Our dedicated toddler classroom has special furniture and safety measures to cater to your child’s size, helping to build body awareness.
Our 1:6 teacher-to-child ratio provides each child valuable interactions and support as children experience great developmental accomplishments.

Three-Year-Old Program
Our Three-year-old Program introduces children to cognitive, social and language arts skills to ensure a life-long love of learning.Our Three-Year-Old to Teacher ratio is 1:12.
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s “Splash into Pre-K” curriculum is a print-rich environment.Hands-on exploration of topics such as:
- Science
- Sensory exploration
- Math applications
- Fine motor skills
- Writing skills
- Critical thinking skills
- We visit the Art Studio and the Nature Lab & Glenn Garden 2 to 3 times a month.
Transitional-Kindergarten Program
Our Tranistional-Kindergarten Program facilitates and deepens a child’s existing social skills, empathy, sharing, cooperation and collaboration with, peers while creating a life-long love of learning. This program ensures kindergarten preparedness.Our Transitional-Kindergarten to Teacher ratio is 1:12.
The Curriculum builds and expands on Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Pre-Kindergarten curriculum.Our Print-Rich Curriculum includes:
- Promoting vocabulary
- Multicultural awareness
- Introduction to writing
- Communicating ideas through pictures and writing
- Daily group activities include literature, music and movement, and practical math.
- We visit the Art Studio and the Nature Lab & Glenn Garden 2 to 3 times a month.
Kindergarten Prep Program
Our Kindergarten Prep Program is specially designed for children who missed the Kindergarten cut-off date or for those who need an additional year before starting Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten Prep Student to Teacher ratio is 1:12.
Using Macmillan-McGraw Hill’s “Beginning To Read, Write and Listen” curriculum and “Leveled Readers” curriculum, we introduce students to reading and writing.
Daily Activities include:
- Variety of literature
- Group discussions
- Critical thinking skills
- Practical math
- Introduction to earth sciences
- We visit the Art Studio and the Nature Lab & Glenn Garden weekly.
- Opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Kindergarten Program
Our kindergarten class is for those students who turn 5 on or before September 1. They will have a 5 full day schedule with class starting at 8:30am and ending at 3:00pm. We allow the children to be on campus from 7:00am-5:30pm for no additional charge.
Not only do our kindergartners have full access to the Glenn and everything our campus has to offer, we also include specialty classes spanning 6 weeks:
- PERK (sports)
- Dance
- Science
- Cooking
- Art
Our kindergarteners will also participate in a Spanish program twice a week to introduce:
- Conversational language
- Music
- Stories
- Culture
Summer Camp
Come experience CMP’s Sizzling Summer Fun. We are year-around but our Summer is extra special! Through specialized instruction, hands-on activities, and on-site field trips, children will think, create, and explore the world around them. Our Summer weekly themes provide children with the opportunity to do something they love or try something new and think outside of the box. Our students splash their hearts out with weekly Water Play Days on the outdoor grass area. Our Carmel Mountain Preschool children enhance their summer experience with trips to The Glenn once a week. They either get to create a masterpiece in The Art Studio, explore and get their hands in the earth in The Nature Lab & Glenn Garden, or solve problems with building in our Tinkering Lab. Our themes change each week during summer so your child will have access to a variety of experiences without leaving Carmel Mountain Preschool. CMP Summer is a fun and exciting way to make the most of summer!
Extra-Curricular
At Carmel Mountain Preschool we allow a few select high-quality outside companies to offer extra-curricular classes to our children. These classes are offered either from 12:30-1:10 (during the beginning of nap) or from 3:30-4:15pm. If your child attends Carmel Mountain Preschool half day then you would pick them directly after class instead of 12:15. Classes are offered on different days. Please contact the teacher directly.We offer the following programs:

Spanish Immersion
Our Spanish Immersion Pre-K class is designed for children ages 3-5, offering a mixed-age environment that fosters collaboration, independence, and language development. In this full-immersion setting, children are exposed to Spanish throughout the day in a variety of contexts—through songs, stories, conversations, and hands-on activities. By engaging with the language in meaningful ways, they develop fluency naturally, building vocabulary and comprehension skills with ease.
My Child and Me
My Child and Me is a program CMP offers for children 12 months-36 months old and their care givers. A typical class is led by one of our staff members and will include: circle time, reading a book, music and movement, sensory play, and natural play. The class objective changes every week so no two weeks are the same.
Mentor Program
Carmel Mountain Preschool is known for having the highest quality and most loving staff members that have a passion for child development. We pride ourselves on having a low teacher turnover rate. One of the most powerful ways we can do this is through mentorship. Our teacher-to-teacher mentorship program pairs experienced educators with newer team members to share knowledge, build confidence, and create a strong, supportive school culture.
