The Art of Observation

Still life paintings in the art studio are always a great exercise for students regardless the age.

Whether your a toddler learning shapes or a master artist you can still enjoy capturing  the beauty of a sunflower.

Materials:

*Thick paper

*Black sharpie

*Glitter

*Watercolor

*Pipette

The children created a layered piece of art by making an outline drawing of the flower or flowers they were observing and then applied glitter watercolor.

Instructions:

*Closely observe the flower

*Draw your flower using black sharpie

*Then add a new layer to your art by applying glitter water color with a pipette
