Painting with Cars

Paint. Cars. Mess. What could be better? How about learning basic science concepts such as motion, gravity, and color mixing? While playing we suggest asking your child questions such as why does one car go faster than the other, what happens if we change how steep the ramp is, or what colors can we make by mixing the paints to create further discussion and discovery.

What you’ll need:

-Cardboard

-Cars

-Paint

-Paper plate

-Tape

Steps:

First you will want to flatten the cardboard and secure it to a surface at an angle. We used a propped up table.

Then you can add paint either on a paper plate or directly on the cardboard.

Finally, take the cars and have fun!
