“Spookley the Square Pumpkin” by Joe Troiano
Step 1.
After reading the story, allow children to choose any colored construction paper they like and a shape that they can trace.
Step 2.
Have children trace the object and then cut out the shape.
Step 3.
After children have made their shape they can now draw (or even paint) a jack-o-lantern face to their pumpkin! This activity is a great way to build fine motor skills while allowing children the creativity to create their own pumpkin.
