4’s/TK Yard
This playground features a wood slide made from Deodar Cedar from La Mesa, and climbing cookies made from Torrey Pine from Del Mar.
Chicken Coop
Our preschool students love to learn how a chick grows from an embryo and watch the chicks hatch and interact with them.
Bunny Barn
Born in April 2024, Marshmallow and Stormy, our Holland Lop bunnies, came to us at only eight weeks old weighing barely a pound.
Enchanted Forest
A space enmeshed in the trees to form our version of the woods.

Outdoor Kitchen
CMP kids are able to go to the farm, pick their organic vegetables, and create meals with their class in this brand new kitchen area.
Soccer Field
A large grassy soccer field on which children can play games and sports, run, picnic, and celebrate summer with water play.
Learning Yurt
Dedicated space that is used to promote the well-being of our parents, care givers, and our staff through wellness and education.
Amphitheater
This area allows our preschoolers to bring their imagination to the stage.
Grass Slide
Provides preschoolers of all ages the ability to enhance their gross motor skills with their big body movements.
Poppo’s Orchard
Located on the northeastern part of campus lies Poppo’s Orchard.
Orchard Office
The Orchard Offices feature a total of six office spaces available for use by CMP staff and parents.
Big Block Deck
The big block deck is a specialty deck that sits between the grass slide and the amphitheater.
The Glenn
The Glenn is a very special place that was created after the Condricks explored some really cool nature parks that differed from anything they had seen in the United States.
Zen Garden
The Zen Garden is a peaceful space tucked away behind Nature Lab under a beautiful shady tree.
Yoga Deck
A space overlooking the Enchanted Forest that is able to comfortably hold yoga and dance classes for both children and families.
Gigi’s Rose Garden
This garden has been a passion project for our founder, Pauline Condrick, since Carmel Mountain Preschool opened in 1983.
Music Garden
Filled with instruments set up in a natural loop on a slope so the children can run around from each instrument to play.
Outdoor Learning Decks
The decks were designed to allow the children to experience new activities and learn a variety of subjects while being in the open air.

We built the organic sustainable farm with the intention of being able to serve all students two snacks a day with the organic fruits and vegetables that we will be growing.
