This activity is great for children who like to see water fall, which is almost all children! In this activity they will get the opportunity to explore with watercolors, work on their fine motor skills, and how gravity works!Materials:
Watercolor
Pipettes
Cotton Balls
Liquid Glue
First Step:
Tape your watercolor paper to a wall (put tape on the back so that it does not interfere with the gravity drops)
Second Step:
Pour your watercolors into a bowl with your pipettes
Third Step:
Let the fun begin! Using the pipettes, start dropping down the watercolor from the top of the paper and let gravity take its course. Children will be so amazed watching the watercolors fall down the paper as they create raindrops!
Fourth Step:
After your gravity raindrops dry, have the children glue cotton balls at the top of the paper, which will resemble clouds. Using a glue bottle (we used Elmer’s glue) will give practice with fine motor skills!
