CMP Cares

CMP Cares is a community outreach program established by Carmel Mountain Preschool. With this program we are committed to supporting children, women, and families in San Diego County through drives, education, and free public events. CMP Cares represents the heart of Carmel Mountain Preschool- community, trust, putting children first, and making a positive impact on the world.

Over the years Carmel Mountain Preschool has partnered with organizations such as Promises2Kids, Gently Hugged, San Diego Food Bank, and Sharia’s Closet to provide clothing, school supplies, holiday presents, diapers, and food to those in need.

“There was such an outpouring of support from parents, teachers, and staff that Emily had to call us four different times before the end of the clothing drive to let us know that the bin was overflowing” said Gently Hugged, “In all, 147.5 pounds of baby items were collected in just two weeks”.

In an Instagram post by Promises2Kids they state, “Arianne Bettazzi, Executive Director of CMP is also a Promises2Kids Board of Directors Member and supporter. Their family have long been champions of the effort to create a better life for all of San Diego’s children and we are grateful for their support and advocacy in the community”

CMP Cares is a strong proponent of taking care of one’s mental health. We understand the toll daily life takes on caregivers and know in order to be the best for our children we need to be the best version of ourselves. To help, CMP Cares hosts free adult-only events centered around de-stressing. These events include sound baths, yoga, meditation, as well as parenting classes, and reading hours. We also have six office spaces available at the top of the campus for CMP parents to reserve, so they may work remotely during their child’s school day.

Through CMP Cares it is our goal to serve the needs of our local community by partnering with organizations and providing onsite programs and support for families.

Additionally, we encourage families to include children in charitable activities to develop empathy and compassion. By understanding the challenges faced by others, children learn to appreciate diverse experiences and gain a sense of responsibility towards their community. These values not only support children in their personal growth but also contribute to a more empathetic society.
