Good day everyone! I am pleased to share with you a recipe that is super easy, super healthy, and the kids really liked! It’s well rounded, yummy hot or cold, and you most likely already have the ingredients in your pantry.
Preheat oven to 350*F
- 2 very ripe mashed bananas
- 4 oz. applesauce
- 1.5 Cups old fashioned oats
- 1.5 tsp vanilla
- 1.5 Cups strawberries or blueberries
Mix all ingredients together, scoop spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, and bake for about 20 minutes.
Noteworthy: The key to this recipe not needing any added sugar is the ripeness of the bananas. Brown skin is great! Mushy slimy inside, that’s the stuff! Basically if it’s a beautiful yellow and your child would eat it alone, you’re probably going to need to add 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup to get that sweetness.
