Painting Fall Leaves with Acorns

This is a great process art project for fall. First, have kids collect the leaves and acorns from outside. Talk about how seasons change and leaves begin to change color and fall from trees.

After you have finished your nature hunt, the art beings! Draw a leaf onto a white sheet of paper. Then, you can have your preschooler cut out the leaf shape our you can cut for them (depending on their skill level). After you have cut out the leaf put a spoon full of each colored paint onto the paper and give your preschooler a few acorns.

Have them shake the tray and try to move the acorn around as much as possible. The more they shake the more color they will have.

Painting Fall Leaves with Acorns

Once they are done painting, have them crumple the leaves onto the leaf.
