Nature & Outdoor Learning

At CMP, we love nature and outdoor learning, it highlights the importance of the natural environment in children’s education. By utilizing outdoor spaces for learning, children are encouraged to explore and interact with nature, fostering a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them. Outdoor activities such as gardening, observing wildlife, and exploring different natural materials provide hands-on experiences that enhance children’s understanding of their environment. These activities promote physical development, sensory exploration, and a connection to the natural world, making learning engaging and meaningful.

In addition to promoting environmental awareness, outdoor learning supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. Playing and learning outside allows children to work collaboratively, solve problems, and develop resilience as they encounter and overcome challenges in nature. The open and dynamic outdoor environment also encourages creativity and imaginative play, as children can use natural elements like sticks, leaves, and stones in their play and projects. By incorporating nature and outdoor learning into the curriculum, CMP teachers are able to create a rich, complex learning experience that nurtures children’s growth in a holistic and balanced way.
